EDGAR MATTHEE / FREE FIELD GUIDE
What is in your hands?
A study of entrusted resources, responsibility, and service. Read Matthew 25:14–30 before beginning.
1. Understand the passage
The talents in this parable are monetary amounts entrusted to servants. What do you notice about responsibility, fear, and accountability?
2. Connect gifts with service
Read 1 Peter 4:10. Separately from the monetary meaning in Matthew, consider the abilities you can use to serve others. List three and name someone each could help.
3. Put one gift to work
Choose a small act of service or a skill to develop. Plan a first step this week and reflect on what you learn.
